As a PR team, we have been incredibly fortunate to work on heritage projects since our inception and have been involved on projects for some of the most historically important buildings and spaces.
Since 2019, we have been working on an incredible, major heritage restoration and preservation project at Taylor’s Bellfoundry in Loughborough.
Appointed by the Loughborough Bellfoundry Trust, we have been on this journey with the trust and all its partners to get to this day, where the works are now complete to save this historic building and its industry within it – which is a craft still done to this day much as it was in Victorian times.
Taylor’s is the last last major bellfoundry in the UK and its bells hang in St Paul’s in London and in hundreds of churches and buildings in the UK, and across the world including Australia, Singapore and America.
With funding from the Lottery Heritage Fund, Loughborough Town Deal and other organisations, trusts and communities, the work to restore and protect the Grade II listed buildings and all within it was made possible.
Our job over the last six years was to share the story of the specialist works through relevant and impactful media, as well as to communicate to the local community. The Bellfoundry sits within a residential area of Loughborough so that was a key part of our work.
It was recently the official launch and opening of the new heritage experience which includes a new, larger museum for all ages and shop, as well as an accessible viewing platform to watch bell casting.
Over the last six years our work with the Bellfoundry has resulted in impactful media coverage on national, regional and local news, such as BBC, ITV and Radio 4, and other heritage related media.
